This is my latest album. It's not 'rock', nor is it 'pop', nor is it 'electronic', nor is it 'songwriter'. It has elements of all of these things plus others. It is energetic and original. It is great to listen to on proper speakers or headphones cuz Stringer and I spent loads of fun time in the studio making and editing sounds. Gamble, too. JVT as well. If you'd like to read what others think about it there's loads of press at www.selinamartin.com/press . Thank you! (2 bonus tracks if you buy the album) xo

Hello? Hello homemade echo. Time sighs, breath slows, ears try, sound floats. A storm breaks, and night comes, the sky falls, and wind blows, and I keep my eye on the window, the radio, the doorknob, the telephone, in case I’m not alone. All the kids - the kids and Katherine - live where anything can happen. Metal can behave like paper if the circumstances make it. And I think I could love you freely, or I’d hate you just as easy. You are the same as me you just don’t know it. I am different from you, though I don’t know it. You are the same as me you just don’t know it. I am different from you, though I don’t know it. I feel like falling. I feel like falling. I feel like falling. And you can’t stop me. Slow down, think straight, ride my heat wave, sink your burning skin in my lake. Close your eyes, inhale me deeply. I will keep your secrets with me.

There’s an art to living in a window. Strike a pose and place your arms akimbo. Look down at people moving below. Keep it open wide and feel which way the wind blows. Every day the view’s a little clearer. Each night we get a little nearer. It feels like looking in a mirror. Left turns right & outside is interior. Try to keep it up it up, baby. No such thing as making a sly move. We all know what you’ve been up to. We got what you want. We got what you want. We got what you want.. All the things you thought you kept within you; secrets and desires are in full view It’s a pane that anyone can see through; where you wanna go and places you have been to. Take one step the machinery will follow offering the vapid and the hollow, custom made and easier to swallow. Things you need even though you don’t know. You can look it up it up, baby. There’s nothing that we don’t know when you stand right in your window. We got what you want. We got what you want. We got what you want…. You go to my head, baby, in through my eyes. Do you make me real. (with your sneaky voodoo)? Will you hold me tight? Call it choice or call it confusion. Call it joy or call it illusion. Could be chance or could be collusion: all our voices singing in unison. Try to keep it up it up, baby. No such thing as making a sly move We all know what you’ve been up to. There’s an art to living in a window.

Lay down your arms and I’ll lay down mine. Let’s see what’s on the inside. Open your head up wide, and we’ll be fine, fine. Why is the harder road always the way to go? Drop your heavy load and take the harder road. Lay down your arms. Lay down your arms. Thursday was sunny at the start (yeah I need my sunglasses), with clouds increasing through the daytime (now I don’t need my sunglasses). And by the evening it was dark. I should’ve seen it coming. Why is the harder road always the way to go? Drop your heavy load and take the harder road. Lay down your arms. Lay down your arms. Why don’t you come to, come to me here by the creek-side. I’ve got these secrets that you know. And I’ve been here waiting. Why is the harder road always the way to go? Drop your heavy load and take the harder road. Drop your heavy load and take the harder road.

My heart ticks on like a time bomb: tuned up, tight drawn, blood red kick drum. On and on. I’ve come undone, opened, spilled out, picked up, dropped off. Meltdown, mop up. On and on. See you in your hideaway. Lonely little tree house. Wondering where your pals went since you locked them out. And all the world… and all the world… and all have done you wrong. Well, When what you thought was the way up, and all you felt and all you want.. On and on. .. turns up as the way down. What the ..? Then right is wrong. Then true is false. On and on. Olive coloured snakes and bones fill your cupboard, oh. Your dinner’s frozen. Your coffee’s cold. Blame your mother. Blame your father. She who holds you. He who knows. On and on and.. I will fuck up every hook up. I can turn off any come on. Since you’ve been gone my heart ticks on. Since you’ve been gone. Since you’ve been gone my heart ticks on, ticks on, ticks on..

Hawaii 04:42
That time I was in Hawaii smoking marijuana with Dennis on ukulele, talking ‘bout Obama. Drinking wine from coffee cups up there in Kohala. And kava out of coconuts, just because I wanna. And I might…I might… I might just change my mind and leave this all behind. Oh! It’s so specific. In the middle of the pacific. I wanna go back someday so tired of the snow. That time I was in Hawaii climbing a volcano, listening to the local songs on my car radio. They’re singing come and stay in Hawaii! Jump into the ocean! You can dash against the lava rocks & try to shed your old skin. And I might … I might… I might just change my mind and leave this all behind. Oh! It’s so specific. Out in the middle of the pacific. I wanna go back someday so tired of the snow. It’s just so geographically specific! Way out in the middle of the pacific. I wanna go back someday so tired of the snow. Back someday so tired of the snow. I might just change my mind and leave this all behind. Oh! I might just change my mind and leave this all behind. Yeah!

And when the city fell our captors did as well. Those desires never known, we finally let them go. And what they know is only what they know. I’ll give you whatever you want. I’ll give you whatever you want. With the ports unmanned we can go wherever we plan. It’s a welcome change of scenery with a lot more entropy. But where we go is only where we go. I’ll give you whatever you want. I’ll give you whatever you want. Come together over me. Let the axis set you free. As the world turns, as the world turns, what we all know we can unlearn. Come together over me. And I am we as you are me. And one & one & one is three. Now east looks north, and west faces south Still I just lie in bed and stare at your mouth. And what I know is only what I know. I’ll give you whatever you want. I’ll give you whatever you want…

Galore 04:27
He left Virtue lying on the floor. Pale as sea ice, just inside the door. The door was barred, he climbed the roof, he lowered down the wooden flue, he dragged her back into the room. What? What? In the tilt in the droke off the Tolt road Bitter cold, sharpened knife, took the child but spared her life. See the lonely man? Look at his soot-black hands. He sits by the fire, always cold. Mr. Gallery. In her heart was his home. She had waited so long. But if down is where he wants then down is where he’ll go. And wanting what you want is sometimes all it takes to make it so. And, the ocean opens wide & welcomes saints and sinners both with blessed cold. He said “Virtue, see the ceaseless waves? Always endless. That’s you and me, babe”. Then he would fold his heart in two a dozen times in front of you ‘til nothing that he said was true. What? What? A year went by since they found Gallery, drowned. Then he returned cold as stone to the tilt in the droke. See the lonely man? Look at his soot-black hands. He sits by the fire, always cold. Mr. Gallery. See the lonely man? Look at his soot-black hands. He sits by the fire, always cold. Mr. Gallery. Now time has gone by and what has she left? A thin angry ghost who will not confess. Twisted by torment and hungry for torture, reminding her always what she didn’t get. Oh sweet heartbreak, the sea cannot swallow you.

The Addicted 03:47
Wait. There. Un. Til. That. Big. Boat. Goes. It’ll take you with it. It’ll take you with it. It’ll take you with it. Stuck. On. Hope. We. Fall. Face. First. Addicted to the addict. He was hanging down at the dock. Hoping to find, hoping to…, hoping to get some. I need something but I don’t know what I’m addicted to the addict. Give. Us. Some. Thing. Just. To. Dull. The. But when you’re with it. But when you’re with it. Stuck. On. Hope. We. Fall. Face. First. Addicted to the addict. I was hanging in the parking lot. Hoping to find, hoping to, hoping to get some. I need something but I don’t know what I’m addicted to the addict. When you’re standing right next to me. When you’re standing right next to me. When you’re standing right next to me. When you’re standing right next to me. And. When. The. Night. Time. Fin. Ally. When you’re standing right next to me. When you’re standing right next to me. When you’re standing right next to me. I need an alternate reality. Make a new world. Make a new world. Make a new world. Somebody broke the old one.

Bike 02:16
I’ve got a bike. I’ve got a bike. Ooh. I’ve got a bike. I’ve got a bike. Ooh. And I can ride wherever I want to. It gets me there, from A to B. Ooh. It gets me there, from A to B. My handlebars are baby blue. I have a bell. Reflectors, too. I ride my bike to visit you. It gets me back from B to A, too. And when the night, when the night dawns. And when the night, when the night dawns the sky is filled with twinkling suns, my mind is all the things I’ve done. I was at home but now I’m gone. I’m on my bike. I’ve turned the blinking lights on. I’ve got a bike. I’ve got a bike. Ooh. You’ve got a bike. You’ve got a bike, too. And we can go wherever we want to. We can go wherever we want to. We can go wherever we want to. And we can go wherever we want to. I’ve got a bike. I’ve got a bike. Ooh!

Wish List 03:36
When the night descends too soon after dawn, snow falls and the green leaves are all long gone, songbirds disappear, exiled like the sun, earnest voices sing, Christmas time has come. I’m feeling hollow here in Toronto since you’ve been gone. And all the carols sing but I don’t want a thing. I want nothing but you right here with me. And in the sky the sky above above our heads, the air is clear the clear is cold the cold is in my bed. I feel the wind blow right through my window. It’s so cold this year. All the bells will ring but I don’t want a thing. I want nothing but you right here with me. Sparkles in the snow everywhere you go on the ground. I want to know all that you know and I want to feel how it feels with you around. And when the nighttime comes it won’t feel so long. And when it’s cold outside I’ll climb into your arms. Oh baby, I’m feeling hollow here in Toronto since you’ve been gone. And all the carols sing but I don’t want a thing. I want nothing but you right here with me. I want nothing but you right here with me. I want nothing but you right here with me.
